Abstract:
For several years there has been a process of metamorphosis of couple's relationships. These changes are often linked to a broader phenomenon of relational instability. Couple’s relationships are increasingly characterized by behaviors of exploration and unbroken research, divorced from intake of commitment and responsibility. If contexts and the times in which today partners come together and build couple's relationship are greatly changed, this foreshadows a heuristic effort to rethink approaches and paradigms to the order of love relationship. We need to investigate what founds pair bonds, what allows love to grow, to design itself and become a mutual commitment. In a heuristic logic, we must be able to capture the complexity, fluidity and multiplicity with which people organize their lives and relationships.
In this sense, in this paper we will present the results arising from the first phase of an interdisciplinary and longitudinal research about “Being couple today”.
