Human versus User? Towards a Hermeneutical Approach to Human-Centered Design in the Organizations.

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2019
Short description:
Basso, I. M., Human versus User? Towards a Hermeneutical Approach to Human-Centered Design in the Organizations., <>, 2019; 2 (2): 169-179. [doi:10.3280/SO2019-002008] [http://hdl.handle.net/10807/145701]
abstract:
The article aims to outline a philosophical approach to the theme of Human-centered design. In the theoretical framework of the Design Research (DR), the expressions User-centered- and Human-centered design (HCD) are widely used as synonymous, while a radical distinction seems to be strongly opportune. Talking about a proper human-centered design in the organizations in the digital era, and not simply about a user-centered design, means to consider the need of creating and sharing meaning.
