Costruire legami intergenerazionali. Proposta per un censimento e una valorizzazione degli archivi storici bancari italiani.

The project aims to enhance the historical and archival heritage of Italian banks, which has undergone profound renewal following a marked process of bank mergers. Bank mergers have led to a reshuffling of much of the banking cultural heritage. It is therefore necessary to protect the archival heritage that constitutes a great cultural wealth not only for banking entities but for the entire community. It is essential to consider the issues of intergenerationality, financial education, ethics, promotion of the economic and cultural identity of the nation, which boasts the oldest (dating back to the Middle Ages) and most important banking archives in the world. To this end, the project intends to carry out: a) a census of the historical banking archives currently present in Italy, developing b) a shared reflection between universities, banks and archivists, on their protection and on the prospects for their enhancement.
