Abstract:

Translating "Le avventure di Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi is a challenging experience as the original story lends itself to multiple layers of interpretation by its readers. Masi analyses two translations by Rosenthal (1983) and Lawson Lucas (1996) on the basis of their structural and lexical devices showing how style changes according to the reading public.
