Rigenerare i pascoli montani: buone pratiche di recupero e gestione per integrare zootecnica, paesaggio e turismo - LUPERCO
Project As part of the project, seminars will be held to disseminate the results of the EPI Farm project 'Agro-zootechnical management techniques
to increase the self-sufficiency and competitiveness of dairy farms in Lombardy: Energy & Protein Independence Farm'
(UCSC, contact person A. Gallo). The project aims to develop a management model for intensive dairy farms
with a view to increasing the self-sufficiency and competitiveness of farms in Lombardy. The activities included, among other things,
intercropping (grasses and legumes) and the cultivation of mixed grasslands; management of silage sites and nutritional and health characterisation of silage; development of approaches to optimise the energy, protein and amino acid requirements “useful” to animals. The seminars, aimed at interested parties and/or students of agricultural high schools, will show how to apply the results to the extensive conditions typical of Alpine and pre-Alpine areas.
